APOLLO.BOTANICS is our powerful webserver. Processing ASP pages on IIS requires a lot of raw power, and this dual processor Intel Pentium-II 650MHz has plenty. All websites are hosted on this machine, which is protected by NTSERVER reverse proxying all incoming requests to it (Apache 1.3.26). All disks are SCSI in this machine, including one 18GB disk dedicated to freeASPhost users. 512MB of error checking and correcting RAM keeps things nice and speedy, and fault tolerant network cards provide additional safety.
We restart IIS every night to prevent memory leaks becoming critical to the machine. All other statistics on this vital box are monitored for availability and loading.
